Darren Peterson

Photography Teacher

Darren brings decades of experience in photography. Starting at 12 years old, his dad bought equipment for a darkroom and he quickly took it over and had a camera around his neck for years to come.

Darren graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Utah, with an emphasis in graphic design and photography. He taught on the college level for over 10 years and currently serves as the Creative Director at United Way.

“I love inspiring students to think about and observe the world by taking the time to slow down and see the beauty and art all around us.”

Through life experience, and connecting with nature, Darren has cultivated a gratitude for living and capturing the beauty of the smallest details through photography.
