Urban Integration

OUR LOCATION

Learning Through Real-World Connection

Eva Carlston Academy is uniquely located in Salt Lake City, giving students access to the cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities of a vibrant urban environment. Our setting allows students to experience life outside of campus in structured, purposeful ways that enrich both personal and academic growth.

Expanding Horizons

Regular outings help students connect with the world around them and practice skills in real-life settings. These experiences build confidence, spark new interests, and give students opportunities to apply what they are learning in therapy and school.

Developing Practical Life Skills

Outings to grocery stores, public libraries, and community centers provide safe opportunities to practice decision-making, time management, and social interaction, all while guided by mentors who help them reflect and learn from the experience.

A Balance of Structure and Freedom

All excursions are planned with intention and supported by staff. While students experience the freedom of exploring the city with staff, they also benefit from guidance that helps them navigate challenges, reflect on their experiences, and carry new insights back into daily life.
