MEET THE TEAM
Samuel Hansen, LCSW
Therapist
Sam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who graduated from the University of Utah. Upon graduating, Sam began working within public schools and has over 15 years of experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, ranging from ages 5 to 18. Much of his work has been to empower individuals, strengthen families, and promote healthy communities. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and works hard to advocate for those needing support and services.
His therapeutic approach includes holistic practices that are client-centered. He enjoys using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. One focus of his is being able to work through trauma by being present with the mind and body. He incorporates music, art, and play in the healing process whenever possible.
“Just as it takes a village to raise a child, the healing process and journey require not only the strength of the individual, but support from others. I believe the overall health of an individual includes being in balance with their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects.”
During his free time, Sam enjoys spending time out in nature, especially with his dog. He likes to travel and go on road trips, seeing new sights or in search of rocks. He also enjoys creating music with friends and playing a variety of instruments. Sam loves to be active and play sports, including tennis and pickleball.
